Frank’s practice focuses on federal income taxation and estate and gift taxation, with particular emphasis on counseling family businesses, closely-held business entities, and high net worth individuals. He provides tax and legal advice and representation to business entities and their owners. He has extensive experience in structuring start-up and growth companies, large real estate partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions, and regularly represents both entrepreneurs and investors in transactional matters. He has substantial experience with the design, implementation, and administration of all forms of executive compensation, including bonus, equity, retirement and performance incentive plans, insurance planning, and other arrangements. He also has vast experience in estate and gift tax planning matters, particularly with high net worth individuals and executives, including wills, trusts, business succession issues, charitable giving and non-profit corporations. Frank’s knowledge and experience is unique in that it not only includes a wide range of business transactions and estate planning strategies, but also includes a great depth with regard to the legal and tax implications and consequences associated with various transactional and estate planning structures, techniques and strategies. Prior to founding the firm, he served as tax counsel to a large national law firm.
Frank is a graduate of St. Mary’s University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1993 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association (Tax Section and Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section), the State Bar of Texas (Tax Section and Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section), the Austin Bar Association, the Austin Tax Study Group, and the Williamson County Bar Association. He has received a preeminent AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and he is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas and a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
Frank is a Williamson County native and after practicing in a large downtown law firm environment is proud to bring his practice back to his roots. He strongly believes in investing in his community and currently serves on the boards of the YMCA of Greater Williamson County, Chasco Family YMCA, the Round Rock Rotary Club, and the Round Rock Community Foundation. He and his wife, Bethany, have two children and are happy to call Round Rock, Texas and Williamson County home.
